The Funeral
of
Graeme
'Snobbie' Robinson 1964 - 2002

Well after travelling
up to Dundee the previous night I was not looking forward to what would be Snobbie's
last journey.
I arrived at the Church about half an hour before the service and exchanged sympathies with friends in the Saints and Sinners that I knew. The bikers had travelled from far and wide to pay tribute to their friend and the roads were filled with bikes in every direction.
The service started
with many people being left outside in the sometimes torrential rain, the usual
hymns and prayers were offered and tributes from Snobbie's father talking about
antics that he'd been up to in his early biking years. A relative read out a
tribute from Snobbies Daughters, as the girls were too upset.
We left the Church
a followed the Funeral cortège to the cemetery which was lead by the
bikes that Snobbie had owned and built. The Harris which he had never ridden
as it was incomplete had been completed by his friends and is a tribute to his
skill as a bike builder.
Around three hundred
bikes had turned up for this Snobbie's last journey and it seemed that most
of the Dundee Police force had turned out to block the roads as the procession
passed by.
The funeral ended at Barnhill Cemetery where Graeme 'Snobbie' Robinson was finally
laid to rest.
Ride
free we will miss you!
