Well
at seemingly the last minute I decided to venture down to Antrobus in
Cheshire to party at the Bleeding Ears R.C. Rock Nite.
As Mike (Shandy Pants), Chris, Jan and Stan were all going I new that
the beers would be flowing and that the evening would be a good crack.
On arrival at the Pub I was met by TJ who greeted Tracey and my good self
and relieved us of the £3 entry fee. Then with tent erected we ventured
down to the pub, well via the burger van, to start the evenings drinking.
The Barrow lot were already into full flow but Mike seemed to be drinking
BEER without any lemonade in it Hmmm Strange. But as usual we fell right
into the insults and bizarre conversations that seen to always come out
at do’s like these. Stan asked Mike if he could open one of the
pepper pots and he managed to cover the table with Pepper and then wiped
it off on his jeans every time he touched his leg we got a pepper storm,
Chris decided to drink some vinegar but Mike refused cos it wasn’t
Sarsons (he is a connosuir). Mike had taken a shine to one of the Barmaids
and even told her she looked like ‘Christina Iguana’ (must
have been the lack of lemonade).
Eventually we decided to head through to the back room were the DJ was
playing his rockin tunes. Chris couldn’t get on the floor quick
enough and Mike was soon up showing us his Bee Gee moves. The only downside
to the back room was the lack of Bitter, any lager you like Guinness but
NO Bitter.
Anyway all to soon the music had to stop and last orders had already passed
so time for bed.
Some folk were standing around a bonfire that was on the camping field
but we hit the sack. Well it would have been nice to get some kip but
the bonfire crew fired up their music and we had drum n base music ALL
night!
Well the dawn greeted us with bright sunshine and as I crawled out of
the tent the remains of the drum n base crew were still sat by the fire
though the music reduced in volume. There was a frost over tents and grass
and it was pretty chilly so after a brief visit to the loo’s it
was back to the tent to try to sleep.
Later I again crawled out of the tent the drum n base crew were almost
all gone but a few hardy souls carried on staggering around, they were
all covered in ash from the bonfire and looked like extras from a zombie
movie.
The Burger van eventually opened and was swamped by at least 8 people
that seemed to take an age to serve but eventually after what seemed like
an hour I got some bacon butties and Coffee.
After a crack with Stan and then Mike (Chris wasn’t very well!)
it was time to head home.
All in all a good night marred only by the lack of sleep!
